PC Media, Inc., a Florida-based internet publishing company, has launched WebbyOnline.com, a new website dedicated to today’s webmaster. The site is tailored to those working to use the internet as a business medium. The subjects to be covered include internet marketing, search engine optimization, design, coding, and internet strategy.
“Our aim with WebbyOnline is to cover those topics that other webmaster sites cover only lightly,” said David Risley, founder/CEO of PC Media, Inc. “While many other sites concentrate on design and coding, our aim is to cover the business side of this medium. After all, putting the site online is only a small portion of the work of running a website. The real work begins after you launch, when you are trying to gain traffic and get people to pay attention to what you have to offer.”
PC Media made a name for itself with PC Mechanic, a site dedicated to today’s personal computers. PC Mechanic, commonly referred to simply as “PCMech,” currently serves an audience of over 300,000 people per month, with about 1.2 million page views monthly. Well known for it’s tutorial on building a PC, “PCMech” has won media praise for it’s plain-English style of addressing technical topics. PC Media is lending the same editorial know-how and management to WebbyOnline. According to Mr. Risley, “Our aim is to create another PCMech-style site, but this time to provide know-how in another area where we have expertise – running a business on the internet and succeeding at it.”
Today, more and more people are waking up to the fact that the internet is a true medium for business. It represents the very essence of capitalism, where anybody of any age can make good money online armed only with a unique idea and the knowledge to market it competently. Affiliate programs, advertising networks, digital software/content sales, e-commerce, all represent entire worlds of opportunity for making a good living on the internet. There are those few who have made millions running a website from their home office and it is easy to assume it is a matter of luck. In reality, these entrepreneurs apply essential rules of promotion and marketing and sound business practices. It is not magic. Given the proper knowledge and drive, that success can be realized by anyone. WebbyOnline.com is launched with the plan to show people how.
