win.rar GmbH is proud to announce the U3 smart release of WinRAR for U3. The first version will be called 3.5.1.1 as it contains the WinRAR 3.51 technology and is version 1 for U3. WinRAR for U3 is WinRAR, the best compression tool available on the market, adapted to the U3 smart drive computing platform. U3 smart drives host a “personal workspace” -- not only data and files, but software programs, personal user preferences and the means for managing them. U3 smart drives transform a PC into a truly personalized computer, quickly, easily and securely, and exit transparently when done. With WinRAR for U3 it is possible to take WinRAR, including user preferences, anywhere. WinRAR for U3 is currently the only compression software available for the U3 platform.
"WinRAR for U3 offers a powerful tool for smart drive users," said Kate Purmal, CEO of U3. "With WinRAR for U3, users now have an easy-to-use and flexible way to set up their personal compression preferences once, and then use them on any PC. We're excited to have this outstanding application available on the U3 platform."
Customers who have already purchased WinRAR can also use their license for WinRAR for U3. Customers who haven't purchased WinRAR yet are able to test it for free for 40 days before buying. System requirements for WinRAR for U3 include a U3 smart drive with at least 6 MB of free space.
